STEAMPUNK TOP HAT

Part time class

STEAMPUNK TOP HAT – Steampunk, the creativity and imagination of the Victorian age meeting the Mechanical. In this class students will learn how to carve a cake in the shape of a top hat. Working with rolled fondant the top hat will be garnished with goggles and gears.

Duration: Two, 3 hour classes.

Tools Required: X-acto knife, non-stick 9″ rolling pin, non-stick board (optional), 6″ or 12″ ruler, decorating brushes, fondant smoother, ribbon cutter, metallic paint (bronze or gold or silver), palette knife with 4″ blade, palette knife with 8″ blade, dress makers tape, dish towel and pencil.

Prerequisite: McCall’s Introduction and Intermediate Cake Decorating or have knowledgeable experience with rolled fondant.
